There have been rumours around the mill that B-town producers aren’t feeling the entire promote-the-movie-on-all-platforms thing. Apparently, flying all over the world to promote the movie is getting a tad expensive and they aren’t seeing the need for it.

So come this season, we are going to see a lot of change in the promotional patterns. They might skip the overseas promotion, and just keep it desi. But as long as they are going all in with desi promotions, we are fine!

Promoting her movie around the town is dimpled beauty Deepika Padukone. Now that it’s all set to release, she’s painting the town red with one after the other Piku appearances. What we like the most about these appearances is how simple she’s looking – totally in character! Let’s take a look!

Collection Launch

We all know that Deepika’s wardrobe in Piku was courtesy of Melange right? Her style has struck chords with aam janta and hence Melange has decided to make the launch public. So who would inaugurate the launch? Deepika Padukone of course! A simple Armani Jeans jumpsuit is what Deepika opted for this event. Soft curls, small earrings and a dazzling smile with minimal make up completed her look. Are you guys feeling it?

Round One

For the initial round of promotions Deepika Padukone once again went low key and decided to wear a dress that was designed by Giles Deacon in collaboration with Koovs. Is her new mantra simplicity? We think so! Typical summer tan sandals, ear studs, pony tail and a brilliant smile completed her look. Notice the low coverage makeup? We like!

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma

While on the sets of Tarak Mehta to promote Piku, Deepika opted for a gorgeous yet simple Varun Bahl couture anarkali. She teamed this anarkali with jhumkas from Aquamarine and completed her look with a classic updo. What’s not to like?

Extraa Innings

After promoting Piku on the sets of Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, Deepika headed straight to Extraa Innings. She was dressed to perfection, given the occasion. White top from Bodice, boyfriend jeans and slip-ons completed her look. The hairdo was the same but there was an additional golden cuff on her wrist. Which we totally loved! So sporty!

Comedy Nights with Kapil

On the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil, Deepika Padukone went an extra mile and wore her favourite designer – Sabyasachi Mukherjee. There is something about her and Sabya saree’s. They just can’t go wrong. Completing her look were earrings and updo. Total elegance!

Delhi

On her Delhi tour, Deepika went with the 70’s vibes and had this gorgeous pouffed up hairstyle with extremely thick eye brows. Her outfit included in culottes from Kanika Goyal, crop top from Pankaj & Nidhi and a Zara sleeveless blazer with Gucci pumps. This could be a total professional outfit. Yeah?

While she was touching base, she added a flowy long coat and a tan Hermes bag to her look. Which one do you guys like more? We are favouring the one with Hermes obviously!
