Karwa Chauth Apparals

With Karvachauth around the corner, it’s officially wifey times.

Time to let your hair down and indulge. You have earned it ladies, and we say go out and about because this one only comes once a year.

While your better halves pamper you to bits, give them a small treat dressing up traditional for them.

Sarees are like forever but our special pick for this season are pretty lehengas done up lightly both in vibrant and pastel hues, which are sure to give your man a throwback to your wedding festivities.

With little time in hand, we worked up a Karvachauth limited edition lookbook for you, taking inspiration from the latest traditional spottings of our B-town beauties. So just scroll down to know everything that’s trending and is sure to please your fashionista senses.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Nothing defines the begum more than a nawabi outfit. Decked up in a plush rose gold zardosi lehenga set from the house of designer Faraz Manan, Kareena exuded her upscale blue blood vibes. The dazzling couture outfit got an instant bling upgrade with beautiful statement jewellery pieces from the Malabar Gold and Diamonds. Kareena complemented her outfit with a bun and dark kohled eyes. She added the finishing touches with her killer stately attitude. Such a “highness” look is everything you need to reflect your queensley status this karvachauth.

Shama Sikander

If you are bored doing monotones and are looking to give your soul a lift, then a vibrant multi-color outfit could be your rescue. Take inspiration from Shama Sikander’s recent spotting. Donning a Sounia Gohil, Shama channeled her happiness and upbeat mood with much poise. Bright hues of red, ochre and cobalt played contrast to perfection, with every color looking much in place. With Ghanasingh Jewellery pieces and a pretty hair updo, Shama worked her loud outfit with panache.

Amrita Rao

Red is the “it” color for karvachauth and gives you all the bridal feel when worn on days like these. With the color much trending this season, a red outfit would be a definite pick for the festivities. We like how actress Amrita Rao added all the charms to her persona wearing a bright red lehenga set from the designer label, Nikita Gupta. Credits to stylist Prachi Shah for picking up a light pretty piece. We are just unsure about the contrast pink lip color. On you ladies, if you did like to wear it, but the red lehenga look is a definite yes.

Tapsee Pannu

Tapsee awed us much with her Judwaa 2 promotional wardrobe. One of her traditional looks can easily translate into a worthy look for the karvachauth day ahead. Stylist Devika dressed up Tapsee in a yellow and pink lehenga set. While the colors keep the look soft, the heavy blingy work adds all the newly wedded glamour to the outfit. Hence our pick for the newbies who did be celebrating their 1st or 2nd karvachauth. With that gajra and earrings, this one is a bang on KC look.

Karisma Kapoor

For the more middle-aged wives, this look Karisma Kapoor wore most recently is highly recommended. Classy off-white meets soft yellow. The long kurta renders more appeal to this outfit. The lehenga comes from the house of Anju Modi, the woman behind Deepika’s Mastani and Padmavati look. With the summer heat still soaring, this combination is an eye pleaser. We like it. Make it your Karvachauth get-together look and wear it with long earrings.

Esha Gupta

Esha Gupta very recently walked the ramp for designer Lalit Dalmia. Donning a rust red heavy lehenga with a complimenting choli and dupatta Esha replicated a bridal look. For your first karvachauth, we did suggest you make it memorable recreating your d-day looks much like this one. Her blown out tresses are adding more feels to the look, try getting a similar blow dry to add more charms to your KC soiree. We bet this extra effort will be worth it after all, firsts are firsts.

Karishma Tanna

If you want that “bole chudiya” from K3G kind of karvachauth look, then you can take some inspiration from this recent spotting of Karishma Tanna. Wearing a small choli, dupatta around her neck and a pretty maangtika, Karishma took us back to poo’s Karvachauth look from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. The pink and cream elaborate lehenga from Chamee and Palak looked sweet on Tanna. With that maang tika from Minerali and earrings along with a ring from Aquamarine, stylist Sayali, styled up her muse well.
