HATS-off to the Bollywood Ladies
A trend that is slowly catching up amongst our Bollywood ladies is that of wearing a hat. They are wearing it to important functions, to promotional events, airports and parties. It’s not a very popular trend as of now, but its spreading like wildfire. Bollywood is synonymous with style and grace and fashion that set a benchmark for the public. Hats could be another trend trickling down to the masses to be sported.

When celebrities like Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor don it, we think it’s a well thought over fashion move, when Alia Bhatt does it, we say she’s a newbie who is stylish and young, whichever way we consider it, this trend is hot right now and I choose to show you how. A very popular accessory in the West, hats have always been a part of the fashion clothing circle. Celebrities associate their style with it and get them designed exclusively for them too.

Wear it to a morning party for some shade or to the airport to add that chic element to your attire, I suggest you try a few different ways before you decide to pull off one. Again, it depends upon your body type and of course your face types to pick a hat that’s flattering.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan wore a fancy looking hat with a monochrome print dress at the MID DAY TROPHY 2014 at Mahalaxmi Race Course. She looked every bit of a diva with no accessories but just her sunglasses to shade herself. The second look is completely casual, as she yet again decides to wear a hat, cool and casual this time at the airport. With a pair of beautifully fit jeans and a buttoned shirt, she pulls the chic look with class.

Katrina Kaif

When there is a mention of movies, you can’t ignore Katrina Kaif’s ‘Kamli’ song. And the Burberry coat with the cute black hat. Hence a special mention to the song and the chic yet sexy styling for the same.

With hats for formal events like the races and the IPLs, to more casual and fun avatars, this is proof that you could look fabulous in it. A simple hack is to start wearing it in the sun for a shade. Pick a hat in brown or beige or white or even black to play safe and pair it with different outfits. Slowly you would start collecting your own kinds and mix and match styles.
