Fashion maverick Wendell Rodricks has ruled the fashion industry for close to two decades now and his collection ‘Trapezoid’ at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week was his last runway presentation. But don’t worry as his label would be continued by his prodigy Schulen Fernandes.

This Guru of Minimalism has always impressed us with his line of thoughts and vision and we must say we were once again blown away by his amazing collection. Not only were his creations outstanding, his choice of models also stunned us. Women of all age, shape and sizes set the ramp on fire and they were all so graceful and elegant that they took our breath away!
The Indian Size Chart was introduced by Rodricks which has been missing since the beginning of the fashion industry. Along with this chart, he has also promised to come up with a model chart soon so that it is easier to design clothes for the models.
If we had to describe this collection in a nutshell it would be flowy, elegant and geometrical creativity at its best. He showed how pastel hues can do wonders and we think he totally killed it with his choice of yellow, pink, beige, aqua, mint, lime, grey and white shades.
The outfits literally stole our hearts with its sheer layering, layered silk palazzos, long collars, flared cutoff pants, etc. His 3D panel extension, panelled capes and slashing necklines are a must have in your wardrobe.

We must say, his choice of fabrics – paper silk, chanderi, cotton weaves, linen and silk crepe were spot on which reflected his designs absolutely perfectly. We were also treated to some of his designer bags and shoes which were as perfect as the outfits.
The Trapezoid collection was a befitting collection for Wendell Rodricks’s final runway presentation and though we may not see much of his collection in the future, he has promised to continue to share his creative ideas with the brand.
We would like to congratulate and bestow all our love and good wishes to Schulen Fernandes and we are sure she will take this label to new heights!!!
