However, now the lady has made a striking comeback and is ruling all the fashion and media spaces, courtesy the ongoing promotional run up of her next release, Kahaani 2.

We heart the fact that this time Vidya gave us a few fusion surprises as well donning drapes and layering. An effortless fashionista and a powerful on-screen performer, this B-Town beauty continues to inspire us with her charismatic Indian-ness.

In Kahaani 2 Look
We have to begin with her surprise look for the trailer launch of Khaani 2. The lady made it to the venue in an auto, and got all the attention the moment she stepped out of the rickshaw in her Kahaani 2 look. Carrying a worn out look in simple black patialas and grey kurta layered with a cardigan, Vidya has given us a hint that the sequel is going to be bigger and better. Rounding up her look was a pair of sneakers, a scarf and a black tote.
In Ezra
For her appearance at the Masterchef India kitchen to promote her upcoming release, Vidya Balan was spotted donning a piece from the house of Ezra. The metallic grey layered on white looked classy. The Who Wore What When team styled up this look with oxidised jewellery pieces from Rejuvenate Jewels. Her long tresses rolled up in a mid parted sleek bun and dark kohl eyes added to this edgy look.

In Anita Dongre
Vidya Balan is blessed with a face and frame that embodies ethnic wear beautifully. For one of her Kahaani 2 promotional appearances, the style team of Who Wore What When, dressed up their muse in an ethereal red ananrkali piece from Anita Dongre. The gota bodice was the star of this outfit. Jhumkas from the Anita Dongre Pink City collection complimented the outfit to perfection. Tresses done up loosely in a half hair updo and a small bindi completed this pretty look. For footwear the lady resorted to nude pumps.
In Nazar By Indu Abbot
Vidya Balan rocked an all white look in a floor length ethnic number from the house of Nazar by Indu Abbot. The pristine white ensemble lined with fine golden detailing looked gorgeous. Arnav Designs chaandbalis added more charm to this stunning appearance. The team of stylists from Who Wore What When sealed this look with a contrast green bindi. Dark kohled eyes, defined brows and hair pulled to one side completed Vidya’s Kahaani 2 promotional appearance.
In Gaurang Shah
Vidya ringed in Diwali, in muted blue autumn tones from the house of one of her most favourite designers, Gaurang Shah. Spotted at the Ekta Kapoor Diwali party, Vidya Balan wore a dark blue floor length anarkali with Gaurang’s staple weaves on an earthy mustard dupatta. A heavy pendant necklace from Arnav Designs and an emerald potli from Vian completed the lady’s festive look. Vidya rounded up her Diwali special with a bindi and braids. Styled by Who Wore What When, and assisted by Gorgii, the star made a definite statement with this one.
In Gaurang Shah
For a yet another festive look Vidya turned to her favourite six yards. Mrs.Siddharth Kapoor ditched the usual festive colors for a regal woven white saree paired with a green blouse from Gaurang Shah. The highlight of this look is undoubtedly the exotic neckpiece from Silver Streak store. Who Wore What When team styled up Vidya’s desi avatar with a red bindi and glass bangles. A neat bun and defined eyes made for perfect finishers.
In Ezra
With the color white holding much regard in the eyes of stylists Who Wore What When, the team dressed up their muse in a white shirt and palazzo set from Ezra. We heart that layering in pastel that added some texture to Vidya Kahaani 2 promotional look. The sober quotient of this appearance was elevated with the dainty neckpiece from Amrapali Jewels. With her hair let loose and a blush face, Vidya gave us quite a refreshing appearance.
In Zoraya Tales
For one of the promotional events for Kahaani 2, the lead Vidya Balan went for layering from Zoraya Tales. The blue printed separates paired with white kurta, rendered a rather boho and free-spiprited vibe. To accomplish perfection, Who Wore What When stylist and assistant stylist Gorgii teamed up the outfit with a layered beaded neck piece from Amrapali. Vidya let her hair down and carried this relaxed look with much ease.
With Vidya giving us such back to back fabulous appearances, we cannot wait to see a yet another power packed performance by the superstar in Kahaani 2.
