Step 1

First step in cuticle care starts with getting all the above mentioned tools/supplies. Start by clipping your nails and using a nail file to file your nails in the desired shape.

Step 2

Once your nails are all filed evenly and in the desired shape, the next step is to use a cuticle remover. You can buy a cuticle remover from any cosmetic store or online as well. This is without doubt the most important step in how to cut cuticles. Apply a thin layer of the cuticle remover on the cuticle area. Make sure to apply it on all the nails. Wait for about 15 seconds before moving on to the next step.

Step 3

This is one of the best cuticle treatment since it hardly takes 5-10 minutes for the entire process. After 15 seconds, use a cuticle remover tool and gently start pushing the cuticles back. You will notice the dead skin coming off from the cuticles along with the cuticle remover. Wipe the tool on a cotton pad before using it on the next fingernail.

Step 4

The next step after cleaning off all the cuticles is to wash your hands in warm and soapy water for about 20 seconds so that all the remaining product is washed off. Dry your hands and use a nail buff to bring a shine or apply a nail polish of your choice.

Step 5

The final step in this process is to use cuticle care products such as a cuticle cream or a moisturizer on your nails.
