Pimple on nose meaning

A pimple on the nose says a lot about your health and hygiene.

  • A zit on your nose could mean you are highly stressed or going through puberty. When one is stressed to the T, the body releases adrenaline which in turn increases the production of oil, thus resulting in breakouts on the nose area.
  • A pimple on the nose close to the eyes could mean poor liver function.
  • A zit formed at the tip of the nose could indicate faulty digestive system.
  • When you spot a breakout on the sides of the nose, it could mean changes in cardiovascular and reproductive system.
  • But there could be several other causes as well for nose pimple. Let’s take a look.

Causes of pimple on the nose

There are many reasons why pimples happen on any part of our face and on some parts of our bodies, the nose especially. Lets take a look at the same.

1. Hormonal Imbalance:

If you already have hormonal imbalance, chances are you would suffer from breakouts, since the membranes inside the skin cells are weakest at this moment and full of tiny blood cells and nerve endings that can rupture at the slightest move and touch.

2. Clogged pores

Bacteria, dirt, grime and dead skin cells on the face and the nose especially would be blocking the route of oily glands or sebaceous glands. When the sebum finds no way out, they accumulate and cause the pimples to grow- first blind and then outward. This results in that big pimple on the nose.

3. Improper diets

Improper diet and lack of water intake too would be cause of toxin accumulation in the body and when flushing out of toxins don’t happen on a regular basis, chances are the body would show signs and symptoms- pimples on the nose in this case.

4. Cosmetics

One also can get pimples on the nose through chemically infused cosmetics and high doses of medication. The chemicals react with the hormones and the skin tissues and play havoc.

Here were some of the causes why experts opine that pimples on the nose can be formed. Have they rung a bell yet? Well, let’s move forward and read what the symptoms of pimples on the nose would be like!

Symptoms

A pimple is formed when the hair follicles beneath the skin are blocked.

The debris of skin mixes with the oils inside the pores and this accumulates to clog the follicles. Thus, all hell breaks loose – pimples happen. Some of the symptoms for the same would be.

  1. Itch on the nose
  2. Dense white pus formulation
  3.  Inflammation and cyst appearance
  4. Bumps on the nose
  5. Infected nose area, and
  6. Thickening and heating up of the area of skin infected to name a few

Home remedies to get rid of pimple on nose

1.  Ice

I have tried this remedy recently and it actually worked. Even if your pimple on the nose hasn’t matured, you can use ice to treat the same.

What all you need:

  • Ice cubes
  • Clean cotton kerchief

Directions:

  1. I started off by splashing some cold water onto my face and then gently cleaning the area with an anti-bacterial solution.
  1. Wait till your face/the area where the pimple is to be completely dry.
  1. Then I wrapped a few ice cubes in a clean handkerchief and held them tight within.
  1. Now I dabbed this handkerchief onto my face just like you would give yourself a cold compress.
  1. I let the handkerchief be on the area for a couple of seconds before removing it again and repeating the process.
  1. I repeated this procedure at least10 times throughout the day.

How it works:

2.  Steam

Steam would help open up the pores and remove the dirt, grime and bacteria too. This aids in removing mature pimples on nose and cyst pus filled ones too.

What all you need:

  • Steaming water
  • Lemon
  • Clean towel.

Directions:

  1. Begin by gently splashing water and cleaning the area with an antibacterial solution. Place your head over the bowl of warm water and start allowing the steam to hit the nose where the pimple is.
  2. Now place the lemon rind in the water for some aroma to breathe in.
  3. While that happens, place a towel on top of your head, so as to not allow the steamy lemon vapors to rush out.
  4. While the steam hits the nose, the nose gets moistened and softens the pimple on nose.
  5. Gently with a cotton piece dab the area and pop the pus and pimple out.
  6. Do this once a day, thrice a week for matured and pus filled pimples.

How it works:

The steam opens up the pores and lets the dirt, grime, sebum and the pus from the matured pimples flow out. This is because, stream makes the tissues of the skin very soft and easy to open the pores too; thereby helping clear the pimple off the nose as well.

Tip:

Do not use this method for immature pimples!

3.  Lemon

Lime or lemon is acidic in nature, and the juice of the same in concentrated form has been used in many DIY home remedies, since time immemorial for beauty and health needs.

What all you need:

  4. Remove the cotton ball and dab the area with the same, allowing the distribution of the same to happen.
  5. Wait for five minutes and then wash off.
  6. Do this thrice a day for all skin types.

How it works:

The acidic nature of lime helps neutralize and balance the pH levels of the skin, and also nourishes the skin and dries away excess oil on the skin too. This helps with the drying up of the pimple on nose as well, and that’s why we say, do it thrice a day.

Tip:

Not to be used on sensitive skin, blind pimples and dry skin types.

Pimple on nose means hypertension and improper diet. The diet you need to follow will be the usual except for avoiding these foods : Spicy food & Oily food. Reduce such foods and anything that you eat, eat in limited quantities that is just enough to keep you full. Keep the diet light, and don’t overeat.
