7 amazing home remedies for clear skin
1. Tomatoes Can Help
If you don’t have the time to sit through a facial or maybe pamper your skin twice or thrice a week, a single tomato can help.
Now, here is what you do – cut a large ripe juicy red tomato in half and apply it all over the face and the exposed part of the neck. Wait for ten minutes and then wash off with cold water. Pat dry and moisturize the skin thereafter. Tomatoes help beat free radicals and also helps remove the tan on the skin too.
2. Rub Papaya To Nourish The Skin
If you feel that your skin is dry, flaky and itchy, chances are it has lost the moisture in it on a great level.
What you could do is to cut a large piece of papaya and pulp it into a paste. Apply the paste on the face and the neck, and wait for half an hour. Wash off under cold water or cold milk, which helps keep the moisture levels intact and in check. Do this thrice a week and watch how the skin glows.
3. Honey To The Rescue
For many centuries now, women with dry skin have been using honey as a moisturizing agent for their skin. What you need is a tablespoon of honey, applied all over your face.
To begin with this, you need to first wash your face and pat dry. Then apply the honey and wait for ten minutes or until dry. When dry, wash the face under cold water and keep washing until the stickiness goes away. Do this daily to help lock in the moisture into your skin.
4. An Egg White Mask
Once a week, to help tighten the skin and to produce more collagen and elastin for the skin, you would need to use the white of one egg. Whip the egg white into a froth and apply it as a face pack all over the face and the neck. Wait for ten minutes, and allow the pack to dry. Once dry, wash the pack off the face and then pat dry. If the egg smell still remains, you may use a glass of rosewater to wash the face, which helps ward away the smell.
5. Potato Paste To Rremove Dark Circles
Grate one large potato into paste with the help of a grater or a blender. Make two small balls of the paste and form a shape of a coin. Place the coins on the lids of your eyes, and lie down for ten minutes. Do this each morning or night, and when the ten minutes are over, get the paste off the lids and wash off under cold water. The starch from the potato can help diminish dark circles in less than five days. Do it every day if you can!
6. Radish To Help Do Away With Blemishes
Dark spots and blemishes on minor notes too can be harrowing, which is why we would want you to grate into paste ONE LARGE RADISH.
Paste the radish well with a teaspoon of olive oil, and apply it on the areas where the spots are visible. Rub the pack gently into the skin. Wait for ten minutes and then wash the face under cold water. Pat dry and moisturize thereafter. Do this every day to get the best results.
7. Chocolate Masks For A Supple Soft Skin
This is a yummy skin regime which would be tempting to lick away, so we dare you not to do the same.
For this regime, you would need to melt a 100gm bar of chocolate in the microwave oven, and allow the residue to cool. When cooled, apply the chocolate to the face and the neck, and wait for half an hour. Massage the skin well when the face pack dries and then wash off with cold milk. Do this thrice a week and watch how the antioxidants in chocolate brings back the glow and the suppleness to the skin!
