Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham have said it. Loud and clear. Dheki lakh lakh pardesi girl, ain’t nobody like my desi girl! And isn’t that right? Every time we see our gorgeous celebrities in the desi avatar, we fall for them a little.

Desi avatars are one thing, but we see them in saree’s, we are just head over heels for them. Such is the power of a 6 yard draped right. Last two weeks have been all about saree appearances for our gorgeous Bollywood celebrities.

Lets take a look at who wore them best!

Deepika Padukone

Well, she’s first on our list of saree appearance because she started it all. With one hit appearance in a gorgeous Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree, Deepika stole hearts! The floral printed georgette saree was straight off the run way and looked heavenly on Ms Padukone. Added to this saree was a puffy updo and earrings. Gave us the 80’s feels!

Richa Chadda

Just like Deepika, even Richa Chadda was spotted in a Sabyasachi floral print saree. Only hers was way hotter!! Perhaps it was because she was at Cannes promoting her upcoming movie, but she looked H-O-T! Completing her look were sultry makeup and flirty updo.

Anushka Sharma

Then giving the saree a try was our favourite tomboy Anushka Sharma. Bombay Velvet may not have fared well with the audience, but this saree of hers looked amazing! Abu Jaani and Sandeep Khosla are truly magicians when it comes to creating clothes!

Madhuri Dixit

Sometimes you need to wear black. You just need that colour in your life – no questions asked. It was perhaps one of those moments for Madhuri Dixit on the sets of Dance India Dance. There is no way we can describe her appearance in just few words. Magnificent? Probably! The black saree by Surendri was simple yet so elegant!!

Kangana Ranaut

This Queen has taught us many things (Yes, we will only refer to her as Queen from now on), but one of the most important lesson to be learnt from her this week is – how to look elegant and sexy in a saree. She just manages to come in this section every week!! Wearing a beige Manish Malhotra saree for a recent event, Sridevi looked like a breath of fresh air. Completing her look were diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet. LOVE!!!
