Seek Inspiration From Bollywood Divas

The moment we hear the word ‘sari’, we Indians have the urge to look around and begin scanning the style, the fabric, and the detailing, isn’t that true? A sari, worn in the traditional way or trendy way never ceases to amaze us with the grace, elegance and a subtle hint of sensuality that it tosses in.

More importantly, in the fashion world where trendy styles are in full swing, our Bollywood ladies chose to stay loyal to the sari style and we admire it. Majorly, the theme of the event played a great role in picking the ethnic fashion statements our divas made.

Having said enough, we would like to take on a ride for some sartorial style inspo on draping the 9 yards with elan. Hope you enjoy!

Mini Mathur:

The host of Gladrags 2018, Mini Mathur did a sensational sizzling sari style. Although we expected the diva to do a unique fashionable style, we complain not a bit about spotting the diva in the traditional 9 yards. She wore the Indian cinema style chiffon tiered sari in black by Ridhi Mehra along with a silver embellished cold-shoulder blouse. The wavy hemline of the sari gave her style a bit of twirl and twist and looked lovely on her. Wavy side-parted hairdo, glowing contouring makeup, and matte finished blush toned lips, made her look super attractive.

Vidya Balan:

Besides the Kapoor sisters, Vidya Balan also graced the India Today Conclave 2018 event and unlike Bebo and Lolo, Vidya did her usual ethnic style. She did the perfect sari style in Lajjoo C silk sari with arri zari dots and a contrast blouse. Kohl defined eyes, extravagant jhumkis, a bindi and mid-parted hair bun rounded her style beautifully. Wish she added a stunning neckpiece and a couple of bangles or bracelets to fill the void but nevertheless, we loved her simple and classic sari style.

Sonali Bendre:

Elegant, rich and absolutely trendy was Sonali Bendre in an indo-western sari style while hosting the T20. In a purple Mint n Oranges Banarsi silk sari with silver zari birds spread all across and by topping it with a silver high-necked, full sleeved anti-fit blouse, she looked fancy. Adding statement earrings and necklace from Karishma Joolry and a cocktail ring from Aquamarine Jewellery, Sonali nailed the ethnic diva look flawlessly. Soft straight hair ending with flirty curls, deeply defined eyes and soft makeup clicked beautifully on her.

Madhuri Dixit:

At the Zee Gaurav Awards 2018, Madhuri Dixit made a grand appearance in a blue and pink sari. She rolled out a timeless style in a sari from Madhurya Creations. Jaipur Gems gold jewelry, mid-parted low hair bun with floral accessories, red bindi, and her charming smile made her look fantastic yet again. This sari surely reminds us of our mom’s classic sari, doesn’t it? It surely gave Madhuri the sophisticated look and finesse.
