Indian Bridal Wears: Tips, Ideas, Styles and Jewellery

Every religion has a particular bridal wear that needs to be worn on the wedding day. Although with the changing times, people no longer abide with all of them, yet some things from the ancient traditions are still carried forward.

A Punjabi bridal wear is different from a south Indian bridal wear. While a Punjabi bridal wear consists of a Punjabi suit, bridal sharara or an elaborate wedding lehenga, a south Indian bridal wear consists of silk and kanjeevaram sarees. Kerala bridal wear consists of kadavu where as a Guajarati bridal wear consists of a panetar and gharchola. All these bridal wear clothes come in plus size as well.

These days, plus size wedding dresses are also available. These are made keeping in mind that the flaws need to be hidden with care and make the bride look nothing less than gorgeous. Bridal gowns are also one such thing that even Indian brides are choosing to wear. These are mostly worn during sangeet ceremonies or cocktail parties. Mehendi ceremonies again see the bride wearing yellows, greens and oranges to match the theme of the event.

Receptions, which are much grand with great number of people attending to shower blessings to the bride and groom, see the groom in heavy bridal lehenga and saree designs with stone work and detailed embroidery designs.

Bridal wear has to be matched with the perfect pair of bridal footwear too. One must not compromise on this. These need to be carefully picked to match the outfit.
