Hey there, award show season! So glad we get to see you again in a brand new year. And as the Golden Globes awards show began in full-swing, we witnessed the stars coming together for the night, wearing black in full support of gender equality and the #MeToo movement in the light of numerous Hollywood sexual harassment allegations that came out of the closet in the recent times. We also spotted many celebs sporting the pins backing up the “Time’s Up” initiative intended to fight abuse in the workplace.
Kerry Washington
The Scandal star looked flawless as usual in a shimmery Prabal Gurung outfit and the strapless dress with its silvery undertone complemented her body perfectly. She stunned us with a head full of gorgeous beachy waves and fresh dewy make-up in Pantone’s Color of the Year: Ultra Violet. We loved her pointy boots and a pair of silver earrings rounded up the look.
Tracee Ellis Ross
The 45-year-old sported an all-black outfit by Marc Jacobs. The halter dress complete with a turban spoke for her solidarity with the activists working towards gender equality and against abuse. To accessorize her look for the evening she picked a pair of drop earrings and the bright red lips added a much-needed pop of color.
Emma Watson
The actress who flew all the way from the UK is among the first on our best-dressed list. Wearing a high neck Ronald van der Kemp gown in black she brought in some classic English charm to the Golden Globes. The peek-a-boo dress with a leg slit allowed her to show off just a little bit of skin and a pair of gladiator heels. Emma paired her edgy black look with a stroke of bright red on the lips and some baby bangs, and to round up the look she picked jewelry by Lilian von Trapp.
Millie Bobby Brown
Following suit is the star from Stranger Things who has grown a distinct sense of style recently. In her all black avatar at the Award night she was as fashionable as any of the adults walking the carpet and was “fashionably” late too. Her winged LBD custom made by Calvin Klein surprised us with a deep V in the back. Looking mature beyond her years she completed the look with a winged eyeliner, braided top knot and diamond cuff earrings. We give this look an ELEVEN out of TEN!

Kendall Jenner
Yep… that’s Kendall Jenner, and as much as we don’t know why at all was she on the red carpet, we know for sure she looked magnificent like witchcraft. The supermodel marked her debut at Golden Globes wearing a dramatic mullet gown by Giambattista Valli. With her hair worn down, she slipped into a pair of pointy stilettos to pull out all the stops on this look.
Dove Cameron
Every time Dove Cameron steps on to a red carpet she brings back the charm of Old Hollywood glam. Black is safe to wear but it may become a challenge to make it unique and stand out in an ocean of celebs rocking the color. In her strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier adorned with a tiny gold bow at the waist, Dove looked as pretty as a Christmas gift wrapped up, bowed up, placed under a Christmas tree. To round off the sophisticated look she picked an elegant pair of diamond chandelier earrings to go along with her short glam hair.
Katherine Langford
She is the star of the hit show 13 Reasons why and she successfully turned heads at her very first walk down the Golden Globes Red carpet in a bejeweled Prada gown featuring a plunging ‘V’ neckline and long bell sleeves. The actress accessorized her outfit with a pair of jaw-dropping diamond earrings that got enough room to shine through her side-swept mermaid hair arranged in beach waves.
Emma Stone
Looking incredible last night, the actress paid a subtle tribute to the Suffragettes with her make-up. Her custom Louis Vuitton dress sits on her like a glove, whoever said black has to be boring had no idea that lace can never – JUST NEVER- be boring. Keeping accessories to the minimum, the Battle of the Sexes actress picked a pair of tiny earrings and bunned her hair up neatly.
Nicole Kidman
The actress won her award for a brilliant rendition in Big Little Lies and to receive her award Nicole came dressed in an intense Givenchy Couture Gown. The accentuated bodice with fine lace ruffles eliminated the need for any accessories and the actress was clever to catch the hint and steer clear of unwanted bling.
