Kajol
This actress belongs to one of the most respected Bengali families in the Industry. Like every year, this year too, the actress was spotted enjoying the festivities in full swing with her family. We have to admit, this Pujo, the lady made it to the top of our best-dressed list. The diva chose to go completely bong, dressing up the Bengali way.
Donning sarees in a bright festive color palette, with flowing pallas, low back blouses and that peculiar big round bindi, Kajol gave us an authentic flavor of Durga Puja. Dark kohl eyes and a neat bun summed up her festive look.
For her first day of festivities, Kajol looked superlative donning a red and gold plaid Benarsi saree.
In a red and purple silk sari from Payal Khandwala, the lady looked all set to have some real festive fun.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
With Ae Dil Hai Mushkil slated for a Diwali release, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan chose to seek blessings from the almighty and savor in the Puja spirit with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aradhya. Though the bong beauty married outside her clan, she religiously honors and celebrates puja’s every year. Spotted at one of Mumbai’s famous pandals Aishwarya looked festival ready in a white salwar suit. The lady completed her look with a small stone bindi and sindoor. But we have to admit, this time Aradhya dressed in a pretty yellow and white salwar suit outshined her mum. Kudos to this beautiful mother-daughter pair.
Bipasha Basu
Bipasha Basu never shy’s away from flaunting her bong connection. This bong beauty with her big eyes, charms us every Durga Puja. This year the Kolkata girl spent the festivities in the company of her near and dear ones.
Bipasha looked gorgeous all dressed up in a pink lehenga set. She completed her Durga Puja look with Bong staples, a red bindi, sindoor and a heavy dose of winged liner. That distinct glow on her face was not to be missed. Looks like, Karan is playing the perfect Husband in this fairy tale. With a round of selfies on her Instagram account, we understand Bipasha is totally enjoying her family time.
Sushmita Sen
Sushmita has inherited all the grace and culture from her Bengali genes. Blessed with the right mix of beauty and brains this lady is class apart. This Durga Puja, her calendar looks blocked for fun times with her gorgeous daughters. After all the Bengali mom would certainly want her kids to experience the essence of Pujas, and probably relive her childhood with them.
On this occasion of festivities, Sushmita opted for a magenta Anarkali with a dull gold embellished neckline paired with a contrasting beige dupatta. With a sense of calmness on her face, she definitely wowed us with this one.
Serving her mother duties, Sushmita along with her daughters visited a Mumbai pandal to honour and seek blessings from the divine power of Maa Durga. Shutterbugs even caught Sushmita having a conversation with the Pandit at the pandal.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt also savoured in the Duga Puja fervour whilst visiting a pandal with director and friend Ayan Mukherjee. Being a non-Bengali, Alia appeared all excited to experience the magic and grandeur of Puja’s. Dressed in a sober sky blue kurta and palazzo set, Alia made for a refreshing look amidst the bright festive colors of reds, pinks and saffron. The white floral embroidery and chappals brought back spring-summer memories.

This Punjabi kudi post a picture of her with co-star Ayushmaan Khurana from the sets of Meri Pyaari Bindu, to wish her fans a Happy Durga Puja. Shot in Kolkata, Parineeti in this frame replicated a typical traditional Puja look of a Bengali woman. We loved it and could not help but share the same with our lovelies. With that Dhunchi in her hand this picture captured the essence of Durga Puja just right.
Soumina Chatterjee
Soumina shot up to instant fame with brief stint as Kapil Sharma’s wife in Comedy Night’s with Kapil Sharma. The actress was spotted attending a Puja in Mumbai to live her Bengali traditions and cultures and bask in the festivities. Soumina charmed us in her 9 yards of beige escapade beautified with floral prints. A red pout and bindi rounded up this Puja look.
We love this festival rich in culture and heritage, and we know our tinsel town loves it too. These 9 days are all about singing, dancing, eating, being merry and most importantly playing Dress Up. So enjoy the festivities, till it lasts or you will have to wait until the next year.
