Celebs at Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2019

Awards season is truly underway. And alongside the celebration of talent, be it for the contribution of films, gripping television and philanthropic work is the coveted red carpet looks. So we expected a lot of show-stopping moments from the evening. From feminine frills to classic old sari glamour, here’s what the stars wore to the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2019.

All the Stars at Dadasaheb Excellence Phalke Awards 2019:

We’ve got the best red carpet looks from the award show. Scroll down to see all the stunning dresses of A-list nominees Aahana Kumra and Upasana Konidela along with other star attendees. And we have all of them covered. Who do you think should be picked the best dressed at this year’s show?

1. Kajol:

Kajol has been killing the red carpet lately in couture dresses and Indian wear, but her recent splash is this white lace sari by Shivan and Narresh’s with floral explosion at the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards. A matching red blouse and Joyalukkas emerald green necklace completed her look. It puts an instant smile on our faces, and easily winning her best dressed of the night.

2. Jhanvi Kapoor:

The Manish Malhotra red sari with gold border is more than enough for her to be one of the best dressed of the event. And above all, the Amrapali emerald green necklace blends in quite well.

3. Upasana Konidela:

Another strong case in favor of saree ensembles is Upasana’s. This look came a close second this event in our choice. It was definitely her night as she picked up the Philanthropist of the Year Award and the saree was the perfect choice for the event. She expertly styled her look with choker necklace that also balanced her earring set.

4. Aditi Rao Hydari:

Aditi Rao Hydari black and gold number by Tarun Tahiliani at the award show sure held a moment. It’s still complicated whether her jhumki accessory from Amrapali served a functional reason, but we support her just fine.

5. Aahana Kumra:

Her all-white sari at the award show is a minimalist’s take on the clean details, including a neat bun, satin blouse, and matching accessories.

6. Kubbra Sait:

Kubbra Sait made a case for easy, graceful chic on the red carpet at the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award night in a House of Milk saree styled with Farah Khan jewellery.

7. Pranutan Bahl:

The Notebook’s Pranutan Bahl had some fun in a Ridhi Mehra gown. The risk definitely paid off her. The beautiful feminine ensemble featured ball sleeves and she wore it with accessories from Om Jewellers.

8. Amrita Rao:

Amrita Rao allowed her chikankari saree with white lace blouse take center stage. She added dangly earrings to complete her look.

9. Mouni Roy:

Mouni Roy continued her stylish red carpet streak in a monochrome saree by Punit Balana and Amrapali Jewels. The heavy printed design bought the drama in and that is the highest praise we can give to the look.

These are some of our favorite looks from Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards. Feel free to share, like, and drop a feedback in our comment box below.

Tamannaah Bhatia

It was in animal print style Anamika Khanna label that Tamannaah Bhatia graced the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2018. While the separates in different shades were distracting, even more quirky was the pink sash tied up like a belt. The statement neckpiece by Amrapali Jewels and the rings from Tribe by Amrapali Jewels and Aquamarine Jewelry added a trendy boho vibe to her quirky number. With her hair side-swept and wavy, glossy lips, glowing makeup, she nailed the peppy style with ease.

Kriti Sanon

Of all the sari styles that the fashion world has been exhibiting, Kriti Sanon’s 9 yards style at Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2018 was both intriguing as well as interesting. Wearing a Shivan and Narresh tailored sari with fringe pants, she rocked a stunning style. Aquamarine earrings, a black manicure, black sandals, red lips, and mid-parted sleek hairdo rounded her style beautifully.
