Michelle Poonawala, is a name whose stirring up some serious buzz in the fashion fraternity. Wife of the younger heir to the multi billionaire Poonawalla Group, Yohan Poonawalla, Michelle’s personal style is what we are crushing on these days. Her graceful and poised fashion aesthetic oozes royalty and the eminent socialite seems to be enjoying the spotlight every time she steps out for an event.
Decoding her style, we observed her trademark look: Printed midi + Fascinator. The lady has almost made fascinators iconic and we at FashionLady, can’t wait to try one.
A few looks she sported at the past few events will tell you why Michelle’s garnered all this attention.
Michelle was spotted most recently at the fashion and cultural night, marking the end of the 36th Asian Racing Conference. The event hosted by the Poonawalla’s on 27th January, 2016 was indeed a lavish and extravagant affair and the fashion event that followed saw collections from fashion biggies like Rohit Bal, Shantanu & Nikhil, Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis and many more.
At an event of this magnitude particularly from the fashion perspective, Michelle did not disappoint us at all and with her husband by her side we have to agree that she literally looked like a “million buck.”
Dressed in a blue printed midi by Self Potrait, she was indeed a treat to our fashion-soaring eyes. The dress was tailored to perfection and the moderate cutouts at waist rendered the right combination of grace and sexy.

The strappy black Louboutin’s added just the right glamour quotient to her elegance.
Keeping the outfit as the key standpoint, Michelle played it simple with her accessories: a simple black box clutch and diamond earrings.
We surely missed Mrs. Poonawala’s iconic fascinator, but the neat ponytail complimented and completed her look.
With this look Michelle’s totally gone up a notch higher on our fashion radar and looks like in the near future our fashion army would definitely be spying on her style files to get you more and more updates on her style game.
