Like we promised, we are back with the closing day details of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017. As interesting and grand it looked, equally competitive was every designer’s creativity and themes.

Ridhi Mehra
Ridhi Mehra presented ‘Adorne’ collection at the LFW Winter/Festive 2017 which was truly inspired by the beauty and intricate interiors of Islamic domes. Patches, fringes, metallic and fabric tassels added glam and oomph to her creations. Ruffled asymmetric Anarkali, lehengas, capes and many more were her choice of silhouettes for her bridal theme.
Malaika Arora was the showstopper for the designer and she got our hearts racing in a sheer, red tulle jumpsuit covered with tassels and fringes.
Arpita Mehta
Titled Midnight Muse, Arpita Mehta crafted a wonderful compilation for the LFW 2017 Winter/Festive in lovely shades of midnight blue and floral prints. The floral cutout patterns were the exciting feature of her designs and we simply love it.
Kriti Sanon was the showstopper for the designer in a blue lehenga with neatly floral cutout blouse. Slick hairdo and Kundan jewelry added an edgy vibe to her avatar.
Shriya Som
Named Vignette Vistas, Shriya Bhupal’s collection in shades of ivory, blush pink and gray was exotic. Cut-out into patterns like body-con outfits, midi dresses, shift dresses, crop tops, gowns etc., with the beads, stones, sequins and crystals incorporated beautifully, the collection was simply amazing.

Diana Penty walked the ramp for the designer in a white strapless peplum patterned gown. Love the self-colored embroidered pattern on the outfit!
Sonaakshi Raaj
The designer titled her collection ‘Skin’ and chose to use PVC with her designs and patterns. The collection revolved around the use of metallic meshes, drapes of tulle, blended georgettes and heavy embellishments.
Pooja Hegde was the muse for the designer and she dresses up lovely in a gold and beige colored outfit. The cape starting from the waist line added a creative touch to the shimmering style.
Divya Reddy
Divya Reddy chose to portray a strong sustainability theme with the green color being in focus through her entire exhibits at LFW winter/festive 2017. In Spanish inspired silhouettes, a varied range of outfits was created that included layered and maxi skirts to embroidered cholis and lehengas.
Taapsee Pannu, the talented, bubbly actress was the showstopper for the designer dressed up in a bright shade of pink. With a floor-length jacket embracing an embellished pantsuit, she looked different from the collection pieces yet stunning.
Jayanthi Reddy
Inspired by the Byzantine or Eastern Roman Empire, Jayanthi Reddy showcased a collection worth melting for. Be it lehengas, jackets, blouses, tunics, and pants with heavy ruffles and tassels, she added a royal touch to her creations. Striking colors with golden embellishments were the key feature of the entire collection.
Like a queen walked Aditi Rao Hydari, the showstopper of the designer in a black and gold embellished lehenga with maxi style jacket, soft bold bandeau blouse, and dupatta. Purely ethereal was the lady in black with rich golden tweaks.
De Belle
Allure by De Belle, designed by Nancy Luharuwalla that represented modern Indian woman was truly intoxicating. Neat cutouts, stylish ensembles, inspired from 1950’s era, she impressed us with her creativity.
Looking classy and elegant, Ileana D’Cruz walked the ramp for the designer in an elite black off-shoulder outfit. With gray metallic jewelry, she rolled out a stunning look.
Faabiiana
Pastel hued traditional styles were the key features that defined the Winter/Festive 2017 collection of the label Faabiiana named Desert Rose. Delicacy, femininity, royalty, and glamour were blended with perfect craftsmanship from Rajasthan. Each outfit was designed to complement and highlight every delicate curve of the female form.
Dia Mirza glided down the ramp representing the label in a silver traditional Anarkali. She carried herself with amazing grace and glamour and gave a gorgeous vibe to the show.
Manish Malhotra
Lastly, the veteran renowned designer, Manish Malhotra did a spectacular closing show and most of the B-town graced their presence in support of the designer. Like last season, he picked Jacqueline Fernandez again as his muse and the diva rolled out a steaming ramp appearance. She walked the ramp in a black and pink floral sheer outfit flaunting her sassy legs and sensuous figure alongside the hit and handsome Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Extending their love and support to the designer wearing his label were Sridevi, Khushi Kapoor, Disha Patani, Karisma Kapoor, Shriya Saran, Diana Penty, Neha Dhupia, Kiara Advani, Richa Chadha and Sonali Bendre.
