Celebs at Baftas 2018

After the Golden Globes it was turn for Britain to come out in support of all those who have struggled oppression and sexual assault at the hands of the infamous patriarchy the entertainment world is ruled by. Hollywood stars and British talents, once again came together on the red carpet of Baftas to say #TimesUp in what can be considered in one of the most sartorial statements as every guest threw on the black.

But again, when it comes to celeb fashion, absence of color doesn’t necessarily translate to absence of style and Oomph. Here are our 10 pick of best dressed at the Baftas night this February 18th.

Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge relied on a safe choice for her red carpet look at the annual ceremony. Though not black, her olive green gown by Jenny Packham blended into the mood and was an absolute worthy of a style accolade. The royal diamonds and emeralds added the bling.

Salma Hayek

A Gucci girl to the very core, Hayek made a return to the red carpet as the leading lady of Alessandro Michele. The floral fantasy sat on her like alter ego and we are totally digging how she accessorized the look with a black velvet clutch while rosy rhinestones reflected the lights.

Margot Robbie

The Australian beauty raised our envies as she put a halter-neck gown by Givenchy against that porcelain-perfect skin. It was a spectacle for the fashion craver to see how the couture flowed gracefully all the way to the carpet with its oscillating pleats.

Emma Roberts

With a plunging neckline, much reminiscent of the 80s fashion, added with oversized shoulder pads of the gone decade, the American actresses perfectly blended two eras. Her Schiaparelli gown was successful in channeling a nostalgic nod, while the golden clutch and dangly earring did every bit to make the look wholesome.

Emma Roberts

Lily James

The 28 year old British actress whirled up a storm in a strapless tulle number. Now this is what Cinderella would wear to the ball dance if she were the 21st century feminist fighting for equality, not looking for a prince charming. A couple of diamonds adorning the fingers and a pair of chandelier earrings is all that was needed to round it off.

Jennifer Lawrence

Always a loyalist of Dior, J.Law was seen is a rigid off-the-shoulder dress by her favorite label. What we hear, this is fresh of the house’s spring 2018 couture catwalk. The Mother actress kept the make-up simple, wore her hair in a swept back style but certainly added a pop of red on the lips and that was enough to slay.

Jennifer Lawrence

Angelina Jolie

No one this evening looked more at home than Ms Jolie. But again the Hollywood actress would have stuck to her signature black look regardless the proposed dress code. The off shoulder velvet gown featuring a thigh high slit was a creation of the British couturiers Ralph and Russo. The huge drop diamond earrings brought in the kind of drama an evening like this calls for.

Kate Mara

Letitia Wright

She managed to take a minute out of promoting Black Panther, and we are glad she did. In a slim-fit velvet dress by the favorite label of most Hollywood stars, Gucci, that held on to her through petite diamanté straps, Letitia looked beautiful and youthful at the same time.

And that’s all for Bafta. But don’t miss keeping an eye on this space, because we are going to bring you all that is hot from the red carpets around the globe.
