The Ambani family decided to celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi festival grandly along with the who’s who of Bollywood and we were utterly pleased to spot the celebrities doing ethnic avatars. Looks like the tinsel town had a delightful time welcoming the Lord of success, performing the grand ritualistic puja, and relishing the sumptuous delicacies together.
Read along to pick some interesting ethnic cues from your favorites-
Kajol made a very simple appearance to the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. She draped a plain sheer chiffon sari and paired it with floral Shivan & Narresh designer blouse. Straight soft hair, big traditional earrings accompanied her ethnic style. Wish the sari had at least a grand border to add spark to her look, don’t you agree?
PeeCee did a peach look in Abhinav Mishra Anarkali for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The silver embellishments, the sparkle of the outfit were well matched by Mahesh Notandass earrings. Soft side parted hair, deep pink lips, and small bindi rounded her look. Skipping the neck piece was a smart move!
Splashing colors in the right way in right amounts on a white background was Karisma in an Anamika Khanna Anarkali. With jhumkas, a semi braided hairdo, metallic heels, and a red bindi closed her ensemble grandly.
Bright and lively was Jacqueline in an Arpita Mehta yellow lehenga choli. Wearing the dupatta like a sari pallu, she turned the lehenga into a half-sari style. Pearl based earrings, neutral Aldo sandals, half pinned hair, and natural makeup worked well with her flashy yellow look.
The eternal beauty of Bollywood, Aishwarya attended the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in a peach pink Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Anarkali. She chose a minimalist approach with her styling and we admire it. With red matte finish lips and a bindi, she looked simple yet gorgeous.
Glowing like a golden beam was Deepika in a gold toned tissue sari by Sabyasachi. A black high neck blouse was The perfect choice to highlight the gleaming sari. Though the sari brought enough glow to her, she added a gold choker from Jaipur Gems and earrings and bangles from Tanishq Jewelry. Tying up her hair into a tight bun, and with her usual bronze makeup, she was absolutely stunning. Hands down, no other diva would have carried this golden avatar as gracefully as Deepika Padukone.
Like Vidya’s haldi-kumkum combo sari! Vidya like always did her signature style I.e. sari style in Punit Balana yellow sari. Brushing her hair to one side, adorning well-crafted Minawala earrings, red bindi and beautifully defined Kohl eyes, she was marvelous. To the wide neckline, we wish she added a lovely neck-piece, don’t you agree?
Aditi Rao Hydari
In a black artistically embroidered outfit by Anita Dongre, Aditi looked spectacular at the grand soiree. Love both her shimmering juttis and shovel patterned earrings! Winged liner, clear makeup, and a bindi were all she needed to make the look click.
Looking festive and traditional was Kiran Rao in a pastel blue Raw Mango silk sari. Coupling it with a bright yellow blouse, she looked grand and elegant. We rarely see our diva’s sport bindi but when they do, we can’t stop admiring the beauty it adds to their mien. With bindi and traditional jewelry, she was a beauty.
In a Manish Malhotra dazzling pastel colored outfit, she looked charming and delicate like a feather. With diamond and emerald earrings, and sweet adorable soft curls, she was breathtakingly gorgeous.
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan looked grand and stunning in a brilliant pink heavily embroidered Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla anarkali suit. Since the outfit was overloaded, she kept her accessories minimal and neutral. With nude heels and snowflake patterned earring, she nailed the style spectacularly.
Disha Patani did a soft peach straight fit lehenga style in Arpita Mehta label at the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. Mrinalini Chandra unique looking earrings and Coral Haze shoes were her picks for the event. With soft wavy hair and peachy makeup, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
