The Umang Police Show, is an annual event, an evening that celebrates the unifying spirit of the Mumbai Police Force.
Every year, celebrities ensure they dedicate this one night, filled with all that is Bollywood for a special audience as a mark of respect for the real men, who fight it out every single day, to ensure every Mumbaikar sleeps peacefully.
This year, the tinsel town gathered at the Mahalakshmi Race Course for a concert lined with multiple performances from the leading stars of B-town.

At the Umang Police Show 2017, Tollywood and Bollywood beauty, Tamannaah Bhatia dressed up angelic in a white lehenga set from the house of Ritika Mirchandani. Looking much at peace, Tamannaah put her most graceful foot forward carrying the lehenga set with an embellished layering. Styling credits to celebrity stylist Sanjana Batra who styled up the white ensemble with a pair of befitting jhumkas from Amrapali Jewels, which added more stars to this charming appearance. With her straightened tresses let loose and a glowing face, Tamannaah sealed her look for the evening.
Katrina Kaif set the audience grooving with her Kala Chashma number at the Umang Police Show. The lady was dolled up in a blush pink ensemble from ace designer Tarun Tahiliani. All credits to stylist Tanya Ghavri for picking up a delicate number for this pretty face. Katrina’s suave evening look got an instant lift with sparkling jewellery pieces from Gehna Jewellers. Flaunting a dewy face and cascading smooth tresses Katrina expressed her gratitude for the Mumbai Police force in her own way.

Anushka Sharma opted to go all desi for this big night for Mumbai Police. Stylist Alia Al Rufai dressed up her beautiful muse in a saree from a master couturier, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The black escapade played a beautiful background to the bright and blooming florals in shades of red. Looking an absolute stunner, Anushka paired her saree with a sleeveless low blouse and a pair of footwear from the label Fizzy Goblet. Keeping it absolutely low on accessories Alia teamed up her six yards with a heavy stack of bangles on one hand. Hairstylist Georgiou Gabriel added one more distinctive top knot hairstyle to this diva’s hairstyle lookbook. Makeup artist Vardan Nayak sealed this look to perfection giving the vivacious diva a bright pout.
Shilpa Shetty made a sizzling appearance at the Umang Police Show this year wearing the desi girl look to perfection. The curvy lass flaunted her envious figure in a white and gold saree from designer Mayyur Girotra. The abstract bold rose motifs that lined the saree’s inner border and pallu were well complimented with a heavy, halter neck golden net blouse that boasted of striped golden embellishments. The lady showed all her love for sarees carrying this one with utmost panache. A pair of earrings and a golden cuff completed Shilpa’s white and gold appearance. Her red strands cascaded down in layers as she made her way to celebrate the zeal of the Mumbai Bravehearts.
Carrying six yards of Indian weaves in a bright blue, Kangana Ranaut attended the evening, honoring the Mumbai Police. Donning a saree from the label Madhurya Creations, “My First Sari” collection, Kangana portrayed a distinct patriotism. The blue self-sari with an all over dog print was accompanied with a pair of head-turning ear cuffs from Jaipur Gems and kadha’s from Jim Saheb. The fashionista rounded up her traditional look with a side-parted bun hair updo.Playing muse to stylist Ami Patel, Kangana put up a stunning appearance.
Small screen superstar Mouni Roy went the all back way for the Umang Police Show this year. The pretty face opted to sport a floor length number from the house of Chhavvi Agarwal. Playing some peek-a-boo with her sheer inserts at the shoulder and waist, the flaunted some skin. Stylist Ankita Patel was at the helm of this black magic look by Mouni. A mid-parted sleek ponytail summarized her appearance to commemorate the spirit of the real-life heroes.
Madhuri Dixit charmed us yet again with that killer smile of hers. To accentuate this diva’s elegant persona, ace stylist Tanya Ghavri, draped her muse in six yards of bright fuschia from the house of Anita Dongre The benarsi base lined with a pretty gota border looked ethereal on our very own dhak-dhak girl. A pair of intricate earrings and kadha’s from Amrapali accentuated the diva’s appearance. A half hair updo with softly curled edges seized the day for this beautiful lass. We have to admit, we skipped a beat seeing Madhuri after so long in such a divaliscious desi avatar.
Vidya Balan loves her saris. Showing some true sari love yet again at the Umang Police Show 2017, Vidya dressed up in a rani pink sari lined with a beautiful cutwork border with emerald detailing from the house of Am:Pm by Ankur Modi and Priyanka Modi. Brownie points to the printed low back blouse that added an extra edge to the otherwise solid drape. The team of stylists at Who Wore What When elevated Vidya’s look with jewelry pieces from Jet Gems and H.Ajoomal. Vidya sealed her Indian look to the T, carrying her long voluminous tresses on one side in beautiful cascading curls.
Wajah Tum Ho lead, Sana Khan, wore the autumn greys to the Umang Police Show 2017. For marking her presence in support of the Mumbai Police force, Sana played along with the winter spirit donning a grey floor length ensemble from Reeti Arneja. The blue dupatta played the perfect contrast to liven up the embellished silver grey escapade. The lady topped her outfit with a pair of blue sapphire earrings and a neat ponytail.
Although it’s been about a year to her wedlock, Preity is still exuding that newly wedded bridal glow. Enhancing her marital bliss was the red floor length from Rimple and Harpreet Narula, that stylist Leepakshi Ellawadi picked for the dimple cheeks. Preity looked gorgeous wearing her attire with that red bindi and curled locks in a half hair updo. A pair of elaborate latkan earrings from Anmol Jewellers and ring from Jet Gems, Preity Zinta walked with a certain bridal charm to the Umang Police Show this year.
Shamita Shetty gave us all the inspiration to go fusion, carrying an Arpita Mehta ensemble. Pulling off the attire with ultimate attitude, Shamita shined in a fringe embellished vest paired with a high-waist dhoti pants from the designer. Rocking the neutral shade, Shamita looked splendid. The woman rounded up her fusion look with jewellery pieces from Anmol Jewellers.
