Miss Universe 2017 saw a huge number of young girls representing their countries, each giving their best to excel at all rounds to qualify and bag the title.
The lucky one to have grabbed the Miss Universe 2017 crown and the sash was Miss France, Iris Mittenaere. This 24-yr old medical student, amid much applause was crowned the winner. Donned in a gold sequined gown, she answered the final round question on how she learned big from a failure in her life, with ease saying, she has failed several times in her life, but all one must do is be elevated and try again. It was an inspiring answer considering this is her first great opportunity in life!

Amongst the top 3 winners, was Miss Haiti (Raquel Pelissier) and Miss Colombia(Andrea Tovar). The Miss Universe format differed this year a little from the previous years, with votes on the Miss Universe app being counted as well as Twitter votes taken into consideration.
To provide entertainment and keep the guests occupied were rapper Florida and R&B group Boys ll Men, keeping the music alive in between the various rounds.

Miss Universe 2017 also mentioned that as this title embraces her, she will campaign for dental and oral health care around the world. Steve Harvey joked about announcing the right Miss Universe this time after making a huge blunder last year at the same pageant.
What kept us on our feet and jumping is seeing Sushmita Sen back again to this very ramp and walking down the ramp after 23 years like she owned it. She was invited to a judge at Manila for the Miss Universe 2017 pageant where she won the title 23 years ago. She was welcomed into Manila with shutter bugs all around, looking beautiful and young. Does she ever age?
