We say definitely Agree!
Styling up a basic tee and denim is not a mere coincidence. It’s an art, and our divas continue to give us lessons on how we can wear casuals and still be a treat for paparazzi soaring shutterbugs.

Bringing back their basics to life time and again by throwing in some wowness, our tinsel town beauties are definitely making casuals hot favorites.

Malaika Arora Khan
Malaika Arora Khan is special. The woman is a serial killer, who kills with her dressups. Coupling her bod and that ageless skin with silhouettes that wow us, Malaika’s fashionista status will be recognized and appreciated for years to come. Most recently Malaika wore a look that had us go weak in our knees. Wearing her white basics: tee, shorts, and sneakers, with a glamorous sequinned green blue Gucci bomber jacket, Malaika instantly transitioned her basics to the glitterati.
P.S: That extra sparkle gave us some major year ending holiday feels.
Daughter of Bollywood’s Baadshah, Suhana Khan has a persona of her own and her fashion choices certainly bring out the rockstar chic, she is. Off late, the young lady has been whipping up a stir with her boots. Cameras most recently caught her wearing the most basic white vest and ripped denim. But to rev up her glam quotient this PYT gave her classics a biker chic upgrade wearing a pair of white Giuseppe Zanotti high top boots. The golden touch ups rendered the needed shine to her look.
The conventional combination of black and red still enjoys some major fan following. When a star like Kangana, who is not just bold in speaking her mind but her fashion choices as well, endorses it, our trust in the classic is restored. Color blocking her travel diaries, Kangana Ranaut was spotted working a staple black Victoria Beckham dress with a pleasant scarlet red trench coat from Topshop. We are all hearts for that trench which doubles up as a style statement. Stylist Ami Patel deserves a special mention for putting together this airport look.
Metallic green is enjoying some major love from A-list B-town beauties. Last we saw Deepika getting some major envy stares wearing a metallic green pantsuit. Next, we spotted the elder Kapoor sibling, Karisma Kapoor, flaunting some love for the metallic hue. An ardent lover of black, Karisma added all the shine to her black vest and blue denim wearing a pair of metallic green peep toes. These shoes have definitely made it to our to-shop list this season. Afterall what better way to bid adieu to the Pantone color of the year.
Shama Sikander keeps coming back in our fashion gazing radar, courtesy her impeccable classic personal style. The woman effortlessly combines classics with season’s most trending rendering looks much worthy of appreciation. The starlet was sighted recently in an all-white appearance from her very own label. The white jumpsuit gave us major retro feels. To spike her charm the woman took to a fashionable Burberry belt which not only highlighted her envious waistline but added all the stars to her all-white ensemble. This belt up took the look to all new highs.
With age, most actresses goof up their fashion, but Sridevi, by all means, has “oomphed” up her dress up. Working all the trends with much panache Bollywood’s, Miss Hawa Hawai always manages to get us to the edge of our seats. The woman gave us all new athleisure goals while making her way out of the airport. Wearing her basic black YSL hoodie with a lovely purple Gucci tracks, Sridevi convincingly floored us. If you too are looking to add some magic touch up to your boring athleisure style files, then opt for such dense and much appealing winter shades.
Make up maestro Mickey Contractor’s birthday celebrations this year were rendered some fashionable touch up, courtesy socialite Natasha Poonawala. Layering a basic black silhouette with a heavily studded black leather jacket from luxe label Gucci, Natasha revived our love for wearing the color to parties. Getting the punk era back, Natasha almost squeezed out love from us, with her dashing dress up. Basics certainly put to their best use.
Resorting to a statement neck piece to take a semi-formal outfit from day to night, has been a much-practised style tip. Stylist Shivani Patel got back to the basics while styling up a look for Amruta Khanvilkar. Having dressed up her muse in a grey tube jumpsuit Lavish Alice, Shivani made the appearance dressy pairing it with a dash of brightness. A statement neckpiece boasting of bright orange fringes from Chic Therapy was all that was needed to amp up the dull greys.
Tinsel town’s love for a classic white shirt and blue denim is never-ending. Our divas keep experimenting with this classic dress up inspiring us to keep going back to them. For the press conference of her new song release, Aaja Maahi, actress Daisy Shah turned to the favorites. Adding some fashionista vibe, stylist Trisha Jani belted Daisy waist with a broad Purple Paisley belt in black.
The bubbly Parineeti would have turned dull on our fashion scorecard had she only wore a basic grey v-neck sweater with a pair of black workout leggings. The pretty face made even basics look pretty accessorizing just right with a bright yet soothing orange Givenchy handbag. We suggest you keep a color like that handy for those days when you go basic.
Gauhar Khan wore a white button-down shirt with a pair of high waist flared denim at a college event. To get her basic look into spotlight stylist Devika had her muse layer up in a pastel blue sleeveless long jacket from Aruni. The asymmetric number belted at the waist redefine Gauhar’s basic white and blue look.
We hope we have given you many reasons to go basic. Have fun lovelies, as you dress them up.
