We are all familiar with the IIFA awards of Bollywood. From the last year, a new initiative, IIFA Utsavam, commenced to honor and appreciate the performances in Telugu and Malayalam cinema.
The institution was back with their second edition this week in the royal city of Nizam’s, Hyderabad, celebrating cinema down south over a 2 day affaire. With all the famed faces from Tollywood gracing the green carpet, the 2 day event was a big success grabbing much limelight.
While captivating performances by stars ensured the entertainment quotient was high, it was the green carpet dress up that pulled us towards the awards night.
The green carpet dazzled with star babes shining in their full might, and the drama was no less than the magnanimous award nights hosted by Bollywood.

Aditi Rao Hydari
A royalty herself, Aditi made a ravishing appearance on the second day of the IIFA Utsavam 2017, wearing navy separates from the label, Nikhil Thampi. Embellished with all over golden embroidery, Aditi’s pick looked regal and heavy. Letting her outfit do the talking, stylist Sanam Ratansi styled up the ensemble with a pair of long jhumka earrings, keeping the look sharp and minimalistic.
Akshara Haasan
Shruti Hassan’s sibling, Akshara Haasan graced the IIFA Utsavam awards evening wearing a mystical all black sequinned look from designer Terrence Lobo. The layers of sequence coupled with sheer and ott fringes hit all the boxes on the green carpet, dress up checklist. The woman wore the look the goth way, doing up her tresses in a sleek hair updo and statement jewellery pieces from Aquamarine.
Shriya Saran
Southern sensation Shriya Saran glammed up in a teal blue elaborate green carpet gown from designers Falguni and Shane Peacock. The sheer addition to the bodice amped up with delicate embroidery in a vine setup added femininity to the structured floor sweeping number. The lady completed her IIFA Utsavam 2017 look with a low bun and a metallic clutch.
Samantha Prabhu
Tollywood’s leading lady Samantha Prabhu was spotted working her Indian side wearing a saree from Singhania. While the aqua color escapade scattered with red and blush flowers looked pleasant it was the exaggerated peplum blouse with layered bell sleeves that pushed up the drama element on the green carpet. Stylist Shweta Malpani added some extra sparkle with a pair of golden earrings from Aabharanam Jewellers.
Esha Gupta
Actress Esha Gupta carried her Bollywood charm to the Tollywood awards night, wearing an all black net floor length gown from Monsoori. Stylist Aastha Sharma styled up the gown with statement jewellery pieces from Gehna Jewellers and H Craft Jewellery. Esha’s delicate braided bun hair updo rendered by hair stylist Aliya Shaikh gave her that princess touch up.
Hansika Motwani
Actress Hansika Motwani set new glam goals wearing a purple Hanna Touma couture piece to the 2nd edition of IIFA South India. The sequinned neck and sleeve paired with that envious front high slit to cast a spell onto the green carpet. Credits to stylist Aastha Sharma for picking this one and styling it up with jewellery accents from Gehna Jewellers, clutch from Klick by RG and Tresmode peeps.
Adah Sharma
Pretty face Adah Sharma touched all the high notes at the IIFA Utsavam, Hyderabad wearing South India’s favorite outfit, a silk saree from VRK Silks. The woman opted for a traditional south Indian avatar, wearing her mother’s cream saree lined with a magenta banarasi border. Credits to stylist Pauleen for sticking to staple accessories like golden jewellery and a gajra adorning the braided hair updo, while styling up her muse.

Rakul Preet
Tollywood fame Rakul Preet made a head turning appearances on both the days of the IIFA Utsavam. Day 1 saw her exuding elegance in a cape style maharani lehenga in soft lavender from Sva Couture. A sleek hairdo and jewellery pieces sealed the look to perfection.
For Day 2, stylist Neeraja Kona styled up this pretty lass in a black dress from Chamaeleo, that boasted of dramatic ruffles and layers. To flaunt a bit of her sexy back, Rakul Preet opted for a neat ponytail hair updo. Smoky eyes and a pink pout added to her black magic.
Amyra Dastur
Amyra shined at the IIFA Utsavam green carpet both the days switching from a complete Indian look to a more west inspired dress up.
For her ethnic spotting stylist Bornali Talukdar resorted to a summery pale blue lehenga set adorned with bright neon florals from Papa Don’t Preach. A pair of long earrings with blow-dried tresses summed up thus look.
Amyra switched to a moe sharp and structured look wearing a monochrome off shoulder gown from Swapnil Shinde. The white pleated bodice paired with a draped black skirt looked surreal. Stylist Bornali Talukdar added all the glitter to this look with a beautiful diamond choker from Mahesh Notandas. Her hair pulled back in a neat ponytail allowed her shoulders and the choker to enjoy all the attention.
Sonal Chauhan
Wrapped in ivory actress Sonal Chauhan made it to the IIFA Utsavam green carpet. The entire landscape loaded with delicate embroidery and fringed detailings rendered a queen status to Sonal. The jaw-dropping number from Shriya Som was picked up by stylist Divya who styled it up further with jewellery accents from You Be Jewellery. We heart how the messy bun amped up Sonal’s charm.
Raai Lakshmi
The elegant Raai Lakshmi made her presence felt on both the days of IIFA Utsavam, with her astound dress up. On the first day stylist, Mansi Patel decked up her muse in a rich jewel tone of emerald from Label D. The plunging neckline, the front high slit with a bow cinching her waist, ensured the woman’s perfect figurine shone from the undercovers. Jewellery pieces from Minerali store sealing the day 1 look for Lakshmi.
For the second day, the woman opted to trigger her Indian side wearing a floor length anarkali from B-Town’s favorite couturier Manish Malhotra. Pearl drop earrings, a soft braided bun, dramatic eyes and a luscious pout added the final touches to this great look.
With the IIFA Utsavam 2017 wrapping up with so much style oozing on its green carpet, we are waiting to welcome these southern beauties to the even more magnanimous Bollywood award nights and other prominent green carpet events
