The much awaited Brit Awards honored a bunch of talented artists this week, and some of them were our all-time favorites. We did feel heart broken when a few of our favorites didn’t get to take the award home, but then there is only one winner, isn’t it? Well, thankfully we can have multiple winners when it comes to dressing up for the awards night. By the way, do you know that the Brit Awards and Grammy’s are red carpet rival and literally fight for the best appearance by the most popular stars on the red carpet? Let’s see what the show got for us.
Katy Perry
After an embarrassing choice of wardrobe at the Grammy’s, that landed her on the worst dressed list of almost every media house, the ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ singer resorted to some serious damage control – hence this gorgeous dual toned metallic ensemble. The super short pink and silver dress was paired with a matching blazer, the star completed the look with a metallic neckpiece too. Her golden strapped heels are perfect for her wardrobe and we find the top knot to be a pleasant change.
Ellie Goulding
The English singer was always applauded for her amazing singing, not that much for her sex appeal. I am guessing things are going to change for the ‘Love me Like you do’ singer forever now. Ellie was the center of every shutterbugs attention for the minute she spent on the welcoming carpet of the Brit Awards. We aren’t able to decide which aspect of this black gown deserves the most attention – the embellished halter neck or the risqué slit, or the chain detailing at the bodice.
Rita Ora
There is nothing new about Rita Ora’s Aura (see what I did there, I’m clever!!!). The British singer has been celebrated for the glamor she brings along to add to the glitz of every evets she goes to. The evening of Brit award was no different. She was seen wearing a mermaid-esque gown. What grabbed the eyeballs was the ornate bodice heavy with bead work and sequins.
Little Mix
The girls of this all-girl band has grown up and one can clearly see that in their outfit picks for the Brit Awards. After the success of their highly sexualized song and music video ‘Touch’ the divas made a sexy appearance at the red carpet, one outdoing the other in exquisite and unique way. Jade was playing chances with a wardrobe malfunction, but a smart girl that she is, she wore panties beneath her dress that featured a forever long slit. Perrie and Leigh-Anne were channeling their inner Madonna in cone-bra dresses, one in black fringes, the other in denim. Jasy opted for the good old leather and got a gown made out of it.

Charlotte Wiggins
Velvet has not been in the fashion arena for quite a while now, not sure if Charlotte was trying to give the fabric that one much needed break. She rolled up at the event dressed in a velvet gown with bell sleeves. The number in the shade of midnight blue had some serious retro vibe going on. But to us, it appeared a little too bland. We wish she had added an accessory here, another there to take the look a notch up. The slim bracelet does little for her.

Pixie Lott
I am quite a fan of celebs taking fashion risks and trying something experimental at red carpets. Pixie, with her experimental ensemble, has to be one of my favorites this evening. The mini number in gunmetal is a smart choice for a young artist like herself, and that safe and strategically placed cutout is equally appropriate. Couldn’t have loved it more.
Dua Lipa
When the prettiest of faces from the industry claim the red carpet in their long saved dresses and gowns, a lady walking in in a smart pant suit is quite the pleasant break from the monotony. 21 year old London based songstress was a fresh change from the all pretty everything at the Brit Awards. She made a statement by ditching the shirt and donning a black suit – we get it, Dua, you are a lady boss, we get it.
These were the seven best dressed we shortlisted from the star spangled night of Brit awards. We got you the nominees, now it’s up to you whom you’d honor with the award in the style department. More on fashion and red carpets coming up – stay tuned to know who wore what at the Oscars.
