Prekese or tetrapleura tetraplera is a species of the pea family with various medicinal benefits, is native to West Tropical Africa. The fruits of the plant have a strong aromatic smell with insect repellant properties. This medicinal plant belongs to Nigeria and African countries. Several diseases can be treated with the use of prekese such as inflammation, leprosy, rheumatoid arthritis, convulsions, etc.
What Is Prekese?
Prekese is a 15-25 cm long and 5 cm across hairless dark purple-brown fruit consisting of four longitudinal wing like ridges. It has a slightly sweet and stringent taste and when cooked as a soup or other dishes, it tends to add sweet fragrant aroma.
The plant also contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Its bark, fruits, and leaves are also packed with medicinal agents.

Other Local Names of Prekese
Prekese is originally from West Africa. Hence the tribes and various countries around Africa have different names of the plant. For instance, Nigerians in Igbo refer to it as oshosho or osakirisa, while Nigerians in Yoruba refer to it as aidan and ubukirihu. Moreover, the other local names are Imiminje, Apapa, Edeminang, Ighirehimi, and Ighimiaka.
In Twi, Ghana prekese is referred to as prɛkɛsɛ. The English name for the plant is Aidan fruit.

Three day ago,i decided to cut the flesh part of the Aiden fruit,i picked about 7medium size ,I put all in 750ml water bottle,fill with water,i drink it in the morning and evening.
But this morning as I got to work,i drunk some and later drink water(empty stomach), within 10min,i feel like visiting the loon,so I decided to go,on the way ,I feel like vomiting,then I threw up,hold and be hold what comes out was very strange,like some one suffering from fever,it was very yellow,not knowing am sick but nothing shows before I took this my concoction.
