In order to stay updated with the current fashion fads, the best thing you can do is to keenly observe all of the season’s prominent fashion runways. The recent fashion shows have indeed given us some fabulous styles to adopt, but they have also relived the vintage fashion once again with dramatic winged eyes and of course the beautiful bold brows.
How about taking some beauty cues from those fashion weeks? Big brows have dominated the catwalk this autumn/winter, from Versace, Chanel to Victoria Beckham and Chloe. The virgin brows which were huge popular in 80’s and early 90’s are once again back with a bang!
You too want to obtain this runway beauty trend but don’t know how, then here is a post at your rescue. I have compiled some great tips on how to maintain bold eyebrows from the inside scoop. Do have a read!
1. Determine Your Proportions
It won’t be wrong to say that eyebrows are critical in defining the shape of the face. A pair of disproportionate brows can ruin the entire face profile. This is the reason, one should never overlook the natural shape, while going for a face uplift.
You do not have to be a pro or seek an expert to understand how much length your brows should be or where should be the highest part of arch.
As the images shows, the eyebrow starts at the bridge of the nose i.e. point 1. The arc should be created at two-third distance towards the temple and the length should stretch from the bridge of the nose to the outer corner of the eye.
2. Let The Brows Grow Fully
If you want to get fuller and thicker brows then you’ve to stop plucking at regular intervals, instead let them grow completely. And when you go to get the new shape, do remember the natural symmetry and shape of your face. This will make sure the new brows complement your face profile.
3. Dye If Required
If your brow color is light brown or exceptionally thin and light then you can make it look prominent and bold by taking an expert’s help. You may not be able to tint perfectly your brows so it’s better to visit a professional.
The brow artist uses a vegetable-based dye or henna-based tint to give the brows a natural and fuller look.
4. Fixing Skimpy Brows
If your brows have less to no hairs at some areas then make-up is the best option to hide such natural flaws. Use a light coat of foundation on your lids and cover them with powder. You have to do this because if you draw pencil on the area directly then the natural oils won’t allow you to draw as the pencil will keep sliding off.
5. Give Desired Shape With Pencil
After the fixing is done, you can now use the pencil to draw on the brows. My favorite is the M.A.C eyebrow pencil. It is also available in a wide range of colors. You can use the pencil to give a desired shape using its fine tip that also helps in filling the gaps.

6. The Setting
Now use brow powder to set the shape. For this you’ll need a stiff, angled brush and start with small amount of product. While redefining the shape, make sure you do not overdo it but focus on key points including the arch and the edges.
7. Use A Brow Gel
In order to ensure the brows stay in shape, you can use a brow setting gel. Maybelline Great Lash Clear Gel is the best to opt for. The Maybelline transparent gel keeps stray hairs at bay, thereby giving you a polished look.
8. Keep The Rest Simple And Clean
When you’re opting for thick and bold eyebrows, let them be the focal point of your face. Hence, you should go for nude lip color with warmed up cheeks and not to mention soft eye makeup.
