It Rained Manish Malhotra Designs At The Ambani Bash, Well Almost!

Celebs in Manish Malhotra Designs

Mukesh Ambani, India’s biggest business tycoon along with his wife Nita Ambani threw a party to celebrate cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma’s wedding. In attendance were the crème de la crème of Bollywood and many other socialites.

It was perhaps one of the biggest events held this year in terms of grandeur and glitterati. What we loved the most about the event was how, many celebrities followed one trend and wore similar outfits (in terms of designs). While a lot of them wore Manish Malhotra designs, few other celebrities stood out in simple outfits.

Let’s take a look at who wore what.

The South Goddess wore an elaborate Manish Malhotra gown. Simple straight hair, diamond studs in her ears and diamond rings in her fingers rounded her look. For ladies with heavy busts, this sort of design with a flowing skirt will work wonders. It will take away all the attention from your bust and make them look slender. By the way, we like her heavy outfit and minimal jewellery approach. She looked lovely!

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai also wore a Manish Malhotra outfit but hers was more on the regal side. Deep green colour anarkali with blunt gold work was the outfit of her choice. A sparkly dupatta, deep brown lips and minimal jewellery finished her look. She looked lovely, too!

Alia Bhatt

Being on this side of the age scale, Alia Bhatt picked out a very sporty/cocktail-esque outfit for the Ambani bash. A shimmery black outfit, sleek pony, slightly smoked eyes and nude lips finished her look. She looked rather classy!

Parineeti Chopra

Giving us another sighting of a beautiful Manish Malhotra outfit was Parineeti Chopra. A princess cut lehenga with a train, crop top and a gorgeous jadau necklace finished her look. A pulled back up-do, and coral-esuqe makeup finished her look. Could she be any more pretty?

Isha Ambani

Playing hostess is a very difficult job. But Isha Ambani did it and looked gorgeous! She looked every bit of royalty in a Manish Malohtra outfit. Earrings, minimal makeup and gorgeous blown out hair finished her look. She looked absolutely stunning!

Isheta Salgaocar

Also in attendance was Isha’s friend Isheta Salgaocar. When everyone else wore Manish Malhotra, why wouldn’t she? Known for being one gorgeous heiress, she stood to her expectations in this olive green Manish Malhotra outfit.

Sonakshi Sinha

Another sighting of Manish Malhotra design was seen on Sonakshi Sinha. She took a different route and opted for a gorgeous red outfit. Big statement earrings, a statement ring and intricate up-do finished her look. To-be-brides, take note! You can definitely wear this outfit to one of your functions.

Sophie Choudry

Our final Manish Malhotra (phew!) sighting was on Sophie Choudry who took the 70’s route and looked beautiful in dusty pink separates by Manish. A huge polki necklace, a knot clutch by Bottega Veneta and a Lana Del Ray inspired hairdo finished her look. Do you like it?

Twinkle Khanna

We then had our Mrs. Funny Bones, Twinkle Khanna who stood out in her bright and shocking pink anarkali. No points for guessing that her gorgeous outfit was designed by her favourite designing duo – Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla. An Alexander McQueen clutch and flowers in her hair finished her look. We wonder what happened to her foot. Can you see the crepe bandage?

Athiya Shetty

The latest Bee in Bollywood, Athiya Shetty also went her own unique way and wore a beautiful and simple lehenga by Monisha Jaising. Almas jewellery, straight hair and minimal makeup finished her look. We quite like!
