Belonging to a middle class family from the suburbs of Mumbai, she aspired to be a classical dancer and graduated in Commerce – She is, Nita Ambani, touted as “Corporate India’s First Lady”, the wife of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, co-owner of Mumbai Indians IPL team and the founder & chairperson of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School.

At 48, she has an aura of glamour and power which reflects in the way she carries herself. Owing to her middle-class values and conservative Gujarati background, she used to shy away from wearing western outfits in public. But, now the tables have turned and she walks with elan in her knee length dresses and floor length gowns in exquisite cuts and subtle colors.
As the co-owner of Mumbai Indians, the coveted IPL team, she is a regular in the cricket stadium and makes a casual style statement with her track suits, simple tees and jeans.
Thanks to her ever-growing popularity, she has made it as the cover girl on leading fashion magazines like Femina, People, Verve (along with husband Mukesh Ambani), L’Officiel’s. She has also done a special cover page photo for Hello Magazine with her daughter Nisha in a beautiful cream colored saree with a rich red border.
