Shraddha Kapoor swayed us while playing the perfect bridesmaid at her bestie’s mehendi function in Dubai. Looking stunning in a red kurta layered with a cold shoulder dibbi heart jacket from the house of Arpita Mehta, Shraddha Kapoor made definite headlines with this one.
This year was the most fashionable one for Kareena, considering her jaw dropping maternity fashion. True to her love for fashion, the begum took to the ramp to confirm all those pregnancy rumours and created history, being the first B-town celebrity who walked as a showstopper to announce her pregnancy. In the Sabyasachi lehenga the lady gave us one memory that will last for years to come.
Sridevi is the epitome of elegance and every time she steps out she inspires a whole generation of fashionistas. The lady went for the kill this karvachauth, embracing her beloved silks from the house of Sabyasachi. Draped in red orange weaves, Sridevi revived the aura of a classic Indian married women. We totally heart this one.
Sonam Kapoor is known for her extreme off-roading skills when it comes to fashion. Time and again the diva has pushed boundaries traversing to unexplored fashion terrains. The lady worked a really tricky look with much elan at the inaugration of the Kashish Film Festival. The hand woven floral print Anavila Misra saree paired with bell sleeves blouse and a pair of oxford boots is not everyone’s cup of tea. It takes a real rockstar to work something like this.
The combination of Nargis Fakhri and Anita Dongre worked it’s ethnic magic on two occasions this year. With Stylist Alia Al Rufai at the helm of both the looks, the beauty looked nothing short of a poetry in motion.
Deepika took our breath away draped in six yards of all white laser cut sari from couturier Rohit Bal. The halter neck blouse deserves some spotlight. A stunning appearance courtesy stylist Shaleena Nathani.
The queen of street style took us by surprise donning the six yards this year for a wedding bash at the Ambani residence. The girl definitely proved her versatility with this one. Alia was all smiles and shine in this Manish Malhotra sari loaded with swag and sequence. Heart that cold shoulder blouse.
Donning just one shade of grey Neha defeated 50 other ethnic looks to make it among the top ethnic spottings this year. The metallic linen weaves from the house of Anavila Misra looked surreal giving us all new inspiration to wear a sari. Adding some retro magic with her accessories the lady completely ruled this one. Due credits to her stylist Sohaya Misra.
Southern superstar Samantha Prabhu swept us with her minimalistic interpretation of an ethnic appearance. Wearing a blouse and skirt from Raw Mango, stylist Pallavi has elevated the fusion dress up benchmark this year. An easy to carry look, this one could be your go-to look for one of those lighter wedding functions. The Sabyasachi clutch lifted the whole look a notch higher.
Shilpa Shetty has been wooing us with her Super Dancer closet. For one of the episodes the lady looked straight out of a dream sequence donning a draped sari from Anamika Khanna. The pastel shades and delicate floral embroidery rendered a fairy tale look to the fashionista. Credits to stylist Sanjana Batra for pepping up the look with bright pink earrings from Aurelle.
In a royal blue Anita Dongre floor length number dazzling with silver gota work all through its escapade, Raveena Tandon made her ethnic comeback. Special credits to stylist Surina for this absolute royal and regal look.

But what she gave us post the wedding, at a yet another wedding bash at the Ambani residence was like a breath of fresh air. In a Pratyusha Garimella floor length number the lady inspired us to wear a black ensemble with a contrast of breezy pastels. Minimalistic and stunning.
Aditi Rao Hydari
Royalty runs in the genes of Aditi Rao Hydari. Like every year, this year too the lady pleased us with a host of her appearances and it was indeed a difficult task to choose one among the rest. But in this Surendri midnight blue wrap floor length number, the lady redefined our approach to Indian wear. Stylist Sanam Ratansi deserves a special mention.
Dia Mirza embodies the definition of that perfect Indian girl and in a lehenga set from Manish Malhotra, Dia Mirza gave us a gold and gorgeous rush. With royalty oozing from every bit of her appearance the lady looked class apart.
For the London premiere of her debut movie, the dusky Indian beauty Saiyami Kher worked an all white Sabyasachi floor length with utmost confidence and panache. Stylist Amy Patel amped up this fierce look with a complimenting Sabyasachi clutch.
