2014 Street Styles & Fashion Trends for Women!

The fashion world always spins one season ahead of the present but something that’s out of flavour in one season can return with a bang in the next. Last year, we saw some old classics making a comeback and also some new trends emerging in the trend! Palazzo pants, loose shirts or crop tops, all seem to be embellishing this comeback trend with joy.

In order to make a style statement, our fashion lovers are taking the plunge into this adventure filled with strange head turning colours and prints. If you are keen to know what’s going to rule your wardrobe, then here’s a look at what’s hot and what will shine out in this year’s fashion forecast.

1. Neon Colours

When we talk about lips, shoes, bags or nails, neon is the attractive fashion trend of the season. Bright, eye-catching colours make a comeback to this season’s outfits in forms of add-ons, accents and patterns, giving the outfit outstanding look without having to be too bright. The neon was in trend in the last year too and with more interesting yet braver changes, it still continues to be a favourite of street styling lovers as well as mainstream designers. Even those, who do not use to like bright colours, are choosing to adorn themselves in one! It just makes your inner happy personality shine. Wear neon colour in a colour blocking style. To be ahead with this cool street style trend, spot shirts or shorts or say sneakers in colours like mint orange, fluorescent pink and bright green. For example, with a simple crisp white shirt and blue denim shorts, you can pair up orange sneakers and accessories or red framed goggles. It looks so cool!

2. Palazzo Pants

The 70s’ street style trend is already in! These wide legged pants fit perfect to all body types. For a night out look, pair up your palazzo pants with a long sleeved crop top (which is another cool street style trend of 2014). In choice of colours, it’s always easiest to go neutral while bright colours can make you stand out among the crowd. To accessorize, wear a statement neckpiece, walk on good wedges and flaunt your envelope bag. Those, who like to go for a more conservative approach, can pair up their palazzos with tunics. You can go as experimental as your comfort level and personality allows.

3. Floral Prints

Floral is so much in the fashion trend, especially in spring-summer time! We predict that it is going to be cooler trend in winters this year too. Almost, all types of dresses are now available in the floral prints be it jumpsuits, casual dresses, maxi dresses or any other dress of your choice. The denim floral pants are fun, flirty, youthful and creative and what makes this fashion trend even more appealing is perhaps the fact that it can make you look feminine. Available in bold, distinctive patterns, and minimalist softer prints, this trend is most prominent right now. Even monochromatic floral prints work well for a casual and fun timing.

The 90’s diva jumped on board as we saw Madhuri Dixit Nene on a dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in a black floral jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge that she teamed up with a contrasting blazer. We appreciate the styling choice!

If you have not crossed the flesh hold, then the crop top is definitely a must-have in your wardrobe. Wear it with shorts for a casual day look. Or on a high waist, slim fit skirt for a chic corporate look. Team it with a pair of palazzo pants for a fun night out with the girls or with a pleated maxi skirt for a coffee date.

Half sarees are in the fashion and one of the most popular trend in 2014. If you really want to stand out in the street style trend, wear this with the uncommon ensemble. There are various ways one can wear it and for various occasions be it for a party occasion or a traditional outing! A half saree, which is also known as Lehenga saree, is extremely popular in South India as there girls are seen sporting this traditional outfit with self-confidence these days. One of the most appealing part of it is that there is no hard work involved in draping it around you as you just need to wear it and tuck it around, the way you want.
