Makeup Tips to Look Scrumptious
Sure it will be wonderful to have all day long to get ready for a date. But since most of us don’t have that luxury, we need to make do with the measly half an hour window that we have to get ready and look glam. This becomes more of a challenge when you are stuck at work and don’t have access to all you makeup products that will help transform you into a gorgeous diva. At times like that, just remember these last minute makeup hacks to make sure you look your best, even without much time and with limited makeup items at hand.

Use Lipstick as Blush

This age old trick comes in handy when you do not have a blush but want to give your cheeks a nice flush. Simply dab some lipstick onto your cheeks and blend it in well with your fingers. The key here is to blend it well to make sure there are no streaks. Once that’s done, top it off with some compact powder for a neat finish.

Use Credit Card or Tape as a Guide

If you are like me and find it difficult to get neat clean, precise lines with your eye liner, then this nifty trick will help you out. Simply use a credit card or cellophane tape as a guide. You can stick the tape onto your skin in the desired angle and length and then use the eye liner. Alternatively, you can also use a credit card to ensure your lines are precise.

Turn Your Kohl into a Gel Liner

All you need is a lighter to turn your kohl pencil into a gel eye liner. Hold your kohl in the flame of the lighter for five seconds and then allow it to cool completely (30 to 40 seconds). Now swipe it on over your lids and you will be amazed at the gel liner like consistency of the pencil. This trick also intensifies the colour so that your black kohl will transform into an even-more-intense-black liner.

Use Mascara as Eye Liner and Vice Versa

There are instances when you dip into your liquid eye liner only to realize that it’s dried up. In such instances, simply use the eye liner brush and dab it on the mascara wand to pick up the colour and then use it as an eye liner. This can work the other way as well. So if your mascara has dried out, dab eye liner onto your mascara wand and use it on your lashes.

Use a Spoon or a Business Card to Avoid Mascara Mishaps

Don’t you just hate it when you accidentally get mascara all over your eye lids? Not only is it difficult to get it off but more often than not, you will have to re-apply your eye makeup from scratch and that can be a very time consuming process. So to avoid that scenario, use a spoon or a business card as a protective layer between your eye lids and the mascara wand.
