Summer is fast approaching and the world of fashion is spinning to encircle the seasonal change. Manish Malhotra, the maestro of fashion, launched his Summer Couture 2018 collection in Pune and oh! What a show!
We have no doubts in believing that the celebrated designer has the ability to transform a girl-next-door to a diva. Don’t you agree? This time, he turned a 400 feet ramp magical and mystical with his creative, lavish and exuberant styles. To showcase this year’s Summer Couture, Manish Malhotra picked four mesmerizing beauties of B-town as his muses and we fell in love.
The Manish Malhotra collection circled around eloquent styles filled with playful colors, silhouettes, and textures. The collection was a true inspiration of the natural beauty and flora of the valleys of Kashmir, the heaven on Earth.
In shades of pale pink, powder blues and mint greens representing the scenic views of Kashmir, the styles comprised of pleated soft tulle gowns and flowing lehengas.

Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi Rao Hydari looked both grand and royal in soft pale pink lehenga with intricate silver thread embroidery beautifying the style. The diva is well-known to carry such ethnic styles with utmost grace and elegance and as expected she was an epitome of royalty. Going sleek with her hairdo and glossy and bronze with her makeup, she looked astonishing.
The ‘Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety’ leading lady, Nushrat Bharucha was dressed by the designer in a silver metallic sweetheart neckline outfit. With heavy embellishments rolling all across the outfit, the sleeves and with the fringe tassels falling down from the knee, the outfit was magnificent. With sleek mid-parted hairdo, muted tones of makeup and subtle smokey eyes, Nushrat looked fabulous.
In a silver heavily embroidered gown with a floor-length cape, Radhika Apte looked sensational. The beige fabric on which the embroidery was done gave the style a sheer look. Also opting for the sleek mid-parted hair and with matte finished brown lips, glossy contouring and catchy eyeliner, she looked ravishing.
Unlike all other divas, Sophie Choudry dressed up in a pale pink mini dress with a sheer mid-waist floor-length cape. With floral embroidery in pretty colors was the key feature of the outfit. With gold metallic heels, she completed her style gorgeously.
Speaking of his collection, Manish said, “Each of the 181 Villas have been designed with impeccable attention to detail and signify the pinnacle of modern luxury. The collection has been inspired by Kashmir – a land that rises out of snowy winters and blooms to reveal the most glorious palette of colors. Then and now; Indian and international; light and color – every outfit in the collection marries distinct elements in a unique interpretation.”
