Mosquito Repellant
Mix baby oil with a few Dettol drops in a spray bottle. You will have a great mosquito repellent come up that’s safe for the little ones. Make sure to keep it away from their faces or hands in order to minimise risk.
Shining Agent
Apply a dab of baby oil to a cotton cloth and use it to shine your fancy faucets to kids’ trophies to expensive goblets. A few drops of baby oil will make your expensive wooden furniture to stainless steel items and chrome shine just as effectively.
No more Tears during Dressing Removal
It’s a painful exercise when it’s time to peel off bandages. Fear not. Just apply a little baby oil on and around the dressing and they would slip off smoothly. Apply the same technique while removing Band-Aid glue too.
Cleaning of leather accessories
For shoe polish needs, we either go to a cobbler or rub sport shoe cleaner on them. There is a fantastic alternative in baby oil. All you need to do is pick a bottle of baby oil and clean your leather bags and shoes by rubbing the oil into them using a soft polishing cloth. Not only will this keep the leather supple, it will also act as a waterproofing agent.

Kids and adults love to chew bubble gum. But it becomes quite difficult to remove the sticky goo from the faces and fingers. Instead of panicking, reach out for the bottle of baby oil. Pour a small amount of it on a tissue or paper towel and rub it directly on the goo. It will come right off.

It’s a tall task fixing noisy bed and door hinges. Just put in a bit of baby oil and see them open and close without the disturbing noise value.

Once again use the same technique of applying baby oil to slip off a stuck ring. Or getting ‘sticky’ zippers slide up and down. Or, for that matter, easing out a necklace knot, before you’re about to head out for the evening. No more struggling to get your shoes on or for that matter your kids’. Just rub baby oil on the inside backs of stubborn shoes and watch your foot glide in smoothly.
