While you have been fasting and making plans for the big EID celebrations all this month, picking up the right shoes for the occasion shouldn’t be the last thing on your list. Leaving your shoes to buy, thinking it is cakewalk would keep you looking so shabby, believe us when we say that- no leaving things to chance, not when you are the showstopper being invited to the many iftar parties and EID celebrations. If you’ve not had the time to get your pedicures at the nearest salon, there is still hope to hide the foot flaws in chic and sexy heels! Here are a few tips on what to choose – heels or flats. Read on and be well-informed on the same.
Wearing a kameez with pants?
The style and length of the eid salwar kameez you choose would be one different from the next. While the longer ones are the most fashionable ensemble choices of the lot, mid-length to tunic short tops are making waves too. Kaftans, western shirts, V-Necks and even designer tunic tops are hot this year for EID. You could even wear designer voluminous shirts that have panels and layers on them, or dress shirts and kameezes over patialas too.

Match the accessories and shoes
Bangles for sure, a Mangtika if you wish to wear over the hijab, silvers and gold or oxidised metal and bronzed ones too- we leave the choice to you. Statement necklaces and chandelier earrings are in big demand, which bring out a modern yet a very unique touch as well. One could opt for beaded neckpieces, tribal art, and faux tattoo jewellery and fabric neckpieces to match up with a chic anarkali for Eid.
Shoes we recommend: flats and ballerinas, gladiator heels, gladiator flats and pumps!
Scarves and summer coats
Should you be boldly donning an Indo-Western fusion and not just Eid special anarkali suits, do it by all means if it is apt wearing it to the venue you have been invited to. Compliment the colour of your scarves and summer coats with your ensemble for sure, but do not forget to wear your shades on the footwear, close to the scarves and coats.
Shoes we recommend: Flats, strappy sandals, peep-toed heels and pumps!

With sarees and anarkalis
The shoes you choose to wear with sarees and anarkalis or any of the Eid outfits you choose, would depend on your comfort levels and style. Fashion is an amalgamation of being at ease and yet looking hot and dreamy like at the same time- neutral colours are the safest options to choose from a wide range of footwear while dolling up in EID fashion.

Check for the climes out there. If it is too hot and dry, open strappy sandals sans the heels would be the ideal footwear to doll the feet up in. if the climes are wet and humid, opt for gladiators that allow the feet to breathe and would not bring home smelly feet. And finally, should you be in an air-conditioned zone, wearing pumps, slingbacks and heels would be the best thing to doll up wearing your Eid outfits in!
