Another successful contest done and dusted by FashionLady was the Rangoli Design Contest participated by more than 150 contestants. Such an amazing response filled our hearts not only with the fact that people took time to participate, but to know that olden traditions to make rangoli designs on festivals are still alive.
Sankranti, a festival to celebrate the first harvest, is mostly celebrated in the South India. The women make delicate foods from the first produce and are offered to the Gods. The food is also placed on their rangoli designs to show their offerings. Colorful rangoli’s bring out the joys among the women and young girls. Some parts of Andhra Pradesh have rangoli competitions in their colonies a month in advance, with new designs drawn out every day.

Keeping traditions in mind and to encourage more women to participate, FashionLady asked women to share their rangoli designs with us. We were amazed at the jaw-dropping designs created and submitted to us. From the numerous designs submitted, through a public poll on Facebook, we have announced 5 winners for this contest.
FashionLady congratulates our 5 special winners for sharing their lovely designs with us – Deepti, Sandy, Anvi, Vihasita and Amrita.
Keep watching this space for more contest and lovely prizes to be won. FashionLady will never disappoint any of you pretty women out there.
