Why Fruits For Facial?

Ever wondered why fruits make the best facial? They are deeply connected with nature. They pamper your skin with pure stuff which is toxin-free and skin-friendly at the same time. The very smell of a fruit on your face can be quite de-stressing too. And unlike the “chemical-based” beauty treatments, fruits are cost-effective and bring in a visible difference on your face.

Did you know “fruit facials” have been around for a decade now?

What To Do Before Fruit Facial?

Before we start doing fruit facials, we must know the “Pre-fruit facial” steps.

Here is how to go about it:

  1. Facial Kit: You have two options here. Buy herbal fruit facial kit from the market. The other option is to use natural fruits, honey, sugar and other such ingredients. The choice is yours. If you are going with the first option, then do make a note of the following things – product label, manufacturing date, and expiry date of the product. In skin care matters, safety comes first, isn’t it?
  2. Face Cleansing: This is the first step in any facial job. Face cleansing helps remove dirt, debris and makeup sitting on your outer epidermis layer. Use a gentle face cleanser to do the face cleansing part. Or use milk instead.
  3. Face and Neck Exfoliation:There is nothing more effective than a homemade natural scrub when it comes to facing exfoliation. Go in for homemade sugar scrub (made with 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2-3 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp of lemon juice).
  4. Facial Massage:Massage is important as it improves the blood circulation in our face. It also enhances the elasticity of facial muscles, improves the cell regeneration capacity of the skin and provides the glow.
  5. Steam up:All you need is a “mashed” banana or papaya to massage your cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, upper lips, eye area and neck in  a circular motion for about 10 minutes.

Did you know, steam also helps you in getting rid of blackheads, whiteheads from the face making it awesomely clean?
