I always wondered what beauty products do beauty connoisseurs carry in their bags and whenever I come across my counterparts, I always wanted to do a little sneak peek into their bags and check out their everyday beauty essentials. After all these years spending in the fashion and beauty industry, I have more or less understood what best works for my skin type and what suits my personality. However, this little know-how does not stop me from experimenting, as cosmetic products are getting better every day with specially formulated products built for individual skin type and ailments. Even I keep following various makeup gurus’ video tutorials to see if any innovative makeup trick has landed in the circuit.

Let me share my everyday makeup essentials you’ll find in my bag. Here are my best baits –

Eye makeup

I never leave house without my eye makeup. I can skip my lipstick any day but not a dash of liner above my upper lids. And if I am in real rush, then a simple stroke of my favorite kajal saves me from flaunting a nude face. It’s a different story when I can afford to spend time for my makeup ritual, I ensure to flaunt cat eyes or at least winged eye liner.

MAC Penultimate eye liner is among my personal favorites. As the name suggests, it renders me the ultimate finesse with just a single stroke. Another favorite eyeliner pen is Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen in Deeper. Sadly, this isn’t available in India now. Last year, when I had visited Florida, I was able to grab 2 pieces from this collection and now they are among the most cherished possessions of my wardrobe. This pen helps me get cat eye winged liner at ease, thanks to the dual nibs offered by Tom Ford that work as a calligraphy pen.

And for my lids, I count upon my favorite The Bobbi Brown Nude from Nude Collection Set that comes with a 12-eyeshadow palette. It also comes with some bonus items as well, including twist-up gel eyeliner and a mascara tube. There is also a small card with instructions for different eye looks.

I am blessed with thick and long lashes so I never needed fake ones and I also make sure to flaunt them by using good voluminous mascara. I prefer Lancome Defincils Mascara, as it offers me perfectly defined lashes. The specially formulated polymers coat each lash from root to tip, thereby volumizing each lash for refined definition.

Lips

Face

Since I am not a foundation girl, I rely more upon the easy and quick pressed powder to cover the flaw areas. And I find Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Press Finishing Powder in Naked Medium Light to be the best option for my skin type and complexion. Besides, Diorskin Nude BB Creme by Dior is one of my favorites, as it not only hydrates my skin but also renders me with a soft focus glow.
